When I began treatment for my allergies with Jerri Weikel at Ageless Living Center I could not live without a Kleenex in my hand at all times. I was at a loss to determine what I was allergic to because everything seemed to trigger a reaction.

I would like to share my experience working with Jerri Weikel. In February, 2009, I was suffering from a rash that was not visible, but itched terribly. In the previous two or three months, after three visits to my doctor, and three different cream and ointment prescriptions, I was having no luck or relief. I had also been trying home remedies, including epsom salt baths, as well as changing to allergy-free laundry detergent, Aveeno soap, special shampoo, etc.

Driving by the Ageless Living Center, I was drawn to stop and ask about an alternative treatment for the rash. Jerri was there when I walked in and she suggested acupuncture. Although I've never suffered from allergies, she suggested that allergies may be the source of the rash. On my first visit with her, I tested positive for many food allergies. I began seeing her weekly in early March. Within two visits there were great results, and by the third, I felt symptom-free. I feel like I've been liberated from the constant itch I had had for several months.

"My son has a learning disability in reading, phonics and has had some motor skill issues. He is now 13 and because of Dr. Akers, Lana and Jeri at the Ageless Living Center, he is a different child. We started last October with Dr. Akers doing a complete assessment of Zach's functioning abilities with regards to coordination, posture, speech, reading, sight and hearing. Zach was a mess!!. His running was flailing his arms, not in sync with his legs, his reading, a 1st grade level at 12 years old, his sight was fine, although his brain wasn't sending the signals to his eyes to interpret movements and various other things correctly. His stance was off, etc. I had spent thousands of dollars at a reputable reading/tutoring center a couple of years ago to get his reading "UP" to grade level. It didn't work. The crew at the ALC, worked with Zach for months trying different techniques and always adjusting his bones and muscles into place. He now is supplemented with Omega 3's that I purchase every month for brain function, wears orthotics, runs with a normal gait and stance, is speaking better, sees letters and numbers without so much dyslexia, carries on pretty intelligent conversations (for a teenager), interacts better with kids his own age and is doing wonderfully in school. His teachers noticed a difference, family members that don't see Zach often, noticed a difference. I see a more confident, happier child, excited about reading. He is now reading at about a 5th grade level.
