Yoga

Yoga is a beautiful art of movement, breathing, mindfulness, and stillness. It can increase flexibility, strength, balance, centeredness, serenity, energy, and the functions of the vital organs.

 

Yoga poses, called asanas, and breathing techniques designed to benefit the flow of energy (Qi or Prana) are combined to form a yoga practice. With consistent practice, therapeutic benefits can be profound, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

 

The Vinyasa yoga style is a flowing style that links poses with the breath as a dance between the body and the soul.

The Kid's yoga is for children 3 to 7. Parents, spend a half hour at higher grounds coffee shop or take a short walk in golden while your child enjoys a journey via several forms of transportation including but not limited to climbing aboard a rocketship to the moon, riding a bicycle to the jungle and sailing a ship across the deep blue sea to tropical islands. Your children:
Will learn a playful form of sun salutation and the namaste song!
We will travel, play games, sing songs, read books
And relate all these activities to the practice of yoga!

About the teacher:

Kimball Cicciu has been practicing meditation and hatha yoga since 1992. These 2 limbs of Yoga give her a sense of wellbeing and satisfaction that inspire her to share with others. Her yoga training is eclectic and includes several styles including Vinyasa, Iyengar and Astanga. Her Zen training began in 2000 under the guidance of the Ven. Danan Henry Roshi at the Zen Center of Denver. It was there, under Roshi's instruction that Kimball received lay ordination in 2004. Also since 2000, Kimball has been teaching yoga and meditation to groups and individuals in the Greater Denver area while maintaining a thriving Chinese Medicine practice.
